The Yellowknife Choral Society has performed a wide variety of music, from traditional Christmas songs to contemporary composers such as Tavener, Tormis and Plakidis; Rutter and Daly to show tunes; madrigals to jazz & blues. We have sung music from widely varying traditions, from the familiar religious choral music of Northern Europe, to Middle Eastern & African music through the ages.
While maintaining our mandate as a non-auditioned community choir, and despite a fluctuating membership, we continue to develop as a choir and tackle ever more challenging and exciting music.
